Shane Guidry, CEO of Harvey Gulf International Marine, said today that he has purchased Harvey Gulf’s 30 percent ownership stake in Quality Liquefied Natural Gas Transport (Q-LNG). Guidry previously owned 70 percent of Q-LNG and now owns 100 percent.

“Q-LNG didn’t quite fit into Harvey’s core business and future,” Guidry commented, “At Harvey, we are focused on growing globally, which we’ve done over the last 12 months. Today, we have vessels working in Mexico, Trinidad, Peru, Guyana, Suriname, the U.S, and Nigeria. Next year, we plan to be working in the Mediterranean and Angola, as well. To be truthful, I don’t know of another company that has successfully moved into seven countries in one year with contracts, opened offices, hired qualified staff, and sustained no lost time incidents or accidents. What my team and I have accomplished is truly remarkable and a sign of excellent leadership. I want to thank all of them for their hard work. As for Q-LNG, I will continue to manage her within Harvey.”

Q-LNG Transport is based in Houston and is a premier provider of LNG transportation and vessel bunkering services in North America.
