Richard McCreary leaves Marinette Marine

mccrearyTV station Fox 11 WLUK reports that Marinette Marine President and CEO Richard McCreary is no longer with the corporation.

The report says that Marinette’s parent, Fincantieri Marine Group, has decided to “go in a different direction” regarding company It quotes Mr. McCreary as saying he and the company parted amicably.

Fincantieri Marine Group has appointed Duane Roehm as Acting President and CEO of Marinette Marine, while tit conducts a search for someone to appoint permanently.

The Green Bay Press Gazette notes that under Mr. McCreary’s leadership, Marinette Marine secured contracts to build up to 10 littoral combat ships for the U.S. Navy with a total value of $3.6 billion.

Also during his tenure, Marinette Marine secured contracts for research vessels and established the ACE Marine manufacturing facility in Green Bay.
