MARCH 21, 2014 — WhisperPower, Drachten, the Netherlands, reports that Germany’s Fassmer shipyard has ordered its systems for three 28 m high speed rescue vessels it is building for the Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Rettung Schiffbrüchiger, DGzRS.
The order covers the supply of three keel-cooled M-SQ27 1,500 rpm diesel generators with SYMAP generator control for central monitoring and synchronizing with shore power and the main generator. When the vessel disconnects from the shore power, all electrical functions will continue to operate without interruption.
“This is again a proof that WhisperPower systems are really wanted by professionals all around the world,” says Ansgar Hinrichs, WhisperPower’s country manager, Germany. “We are very happy to be a part of making life and work on sea a bit safer.”
