Raytheon Anschütz expands U.S. operations

MAY 29, 2015 — Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) has launched a new subsidiary, Raytheon Anschuetz USA LLC. Located in San Diego, CA, the new company reinforces customer care and support for Raytheon Anschütz navigation systems in the U.S. for commercial shipowners and shipyards as well as government entities, including the Coast Guard, Military Sealift Command, Navy, and Army.

“In January 2012, Raytheon Anschütz returned to the U.S. navigation systems market with the establishment of a San Diego-based regional sales office. Now, we are taking the next step to becoming America’s new center of navigation excellence,” said Frank Christophersen, president of the new subsidiary. “With this new company, we offer dedicated local support for U.S.-based customers, with greater flexibility, and set the foundation to expand our infrastructure for new services and spares support.”

The new company supports the full portfolio of Raytheon Anschütz’s navigation components and solutions, including gyro compasses, autopilots and steering controls, radars, ECDIS (Electronic Chart Display and Information Systems) and complete integrated bridge systems, for both new ships and retrofit projects.

In addition, the company provides technical advice and pre-sale consultancy regarding International Maritime Organization recommendations, class requirements and operational needs, as well as an array of lifecycle support services.

The Raytheon Anschütz services network spans U.S. coastlines through a large, centralized spare-parts and service coordination center, as well as an extensive network of more than 50 service points.
