Otto Marine books newbuilding orders for AHTS duo
Written bySingapore’s Otto Marine Limited reports that it has secured newbuilding orders worth $38.5 million each for two 12,000 bhp AHTS vessels. The orders have been placed by Go Marine Group Pty Ltd., an Australian-incorporated provider of offshore and inshore marine services to the oil and gas industry.
Go Marine, in which Otto Marine has a 19 per cent equity interest, recently acquired an 8,000 bhp AHTS from Otto Marine for $24 million.
The two newbuildings are expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2012 and first quarter of 2013 respectively.
The 12,000 bhp AHTS vessels, 78.2 m x 18.5 m, are well-equipped with the latest technology and equipment, and capable of delivering 150 T bollard pull.
Headquartered in Singapore, the Otto Marine owns and operates one of the largest and most sophisticated shipyards in Batam, Indonesia.
