New CEO at Maersk Line

CEO_MaerskSøren Skou was recently appointed the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maersk Line. The appointment will be effective January 16, 2012.

Previously, Skou has been the CEO of Maersk Tankers for the last 10 years. Skou was with Maersk Line in various positions from 1983 through 1998. He replaces Eivind Kolding, who is leaving Maersk Line and a member of the Executive Board to become Chairman of the Executive Board of Danske Bank. Further, Kolding will leave as partner of Firmaet A.P. Møller, effective January 16. Subsequently, the owners of Firmaet A.P. Møller will be Mærsk Mc-Kinney Møller, Nils S. Andersen, Claus V. Hemmingsen and Søren Skou.

The Executive Board will consist of Nils S. Andersen, Kim Fejfer, Claus V. Hemmingsen, Søren
Skou, Jakob Thomasen and Trond Westlie.
