OCTOBER 28, 2016—Continuing to shed offshore supply vessels in its fleet as a result of the downturn in the offshore oil and gas market, Maersk Supply Service said it had sold two Platform Supply Vessels, the Maersk Feeder and Maersk Fighter. The vessels, which joined the Maersk Supply Service Fleet in 1992 and 1993, will be modified by their new owners and will no longer compete in the OSV segment, says Maersk.

Maersk Supply Service, Lyngby, Denmark, is reducing its fleet by up to 20 vessels over the coming 18 months.

Besides the most recent two vessels, Maersk Supply Service has sold the Maersk Finder, Maersk Puncher, Maersk Provider, and Maersk Forwarder. Maersk Supply Service now has a fleet of 51 vessels.
