Kings Point resumes operations

OCTOBER 17, 2013 — Due to the enactment of a continuing resolution, the United States Merchant Marine Academy, Kings Point, NY, has resumed normal operations. Employees were expected to return on their soonest scheduled workday, Thursday, 17 October, for most.

Employees should contact their supervisors should they need to discuss the possibility of utilizing telework, work schedule flexibilities, or excused absence for hardship situations.

The United States Merchant Marine Museum is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, October 22.

Academic activities are currently suspended due to fall break. Classes will resume on  October 21.

Visitors to the Academy should confirm with their appropriate point of contact before arriving on-campus.
