Karin Gaskill promoted to VP human resources at three TOTE companies

Jacksonville, Fla., headquartered TOTE, LLC has promoted Karen Gaskill to the newly created role of vice president of human resources for three of its four operating companies: TOTE Services, TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico and TOTE Resources.

Gaskill, who most recently served as vice president of human resources for TOTE Maritime Puerto Rico, will help lead an effort to enhance shared services throughout the TOTE organization, and report to Gene Gerrard, vice president of human resources for TOTE.

“Karen has been a tremendous asset at TOTE, leveraging her 20+ years of experience in human resources, including nearly a dozen in the transportation industry,” said Gerrard. “We look forward to building on that talent and experience to further promote TOTE’s leadership position in the domestic maritime industry.”

Gaskill joined TOTE in 2008 as manager of learning and development, working her way up through various roles of increasing responsibility. Prior to joining TOTE, she spent nearly ten years focused on customer relationship management, overseeing change management training and implementation.

Gaskill holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Indiana State University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and as a Society for Human Resource Management – Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP). Her promotion is effective immediately.
