Fincantieri delivers first megayacht
Written byOne of the ten largest megayachts in the world was recently delivered by Fincantieri’s Muggiano (La Spezia) shipyard in Italy.
The 134-meter-long Serene is the first megayacht built by Fincantieri, marking the Italian shipbuilder’s entry into the upscale luxury yacht sector. Based on a concept by famous yacht designer Espen Oeino of Monaco, the MY Serene has seven decks, a hangar and two helicopter landing pads. The vessel also features a large sea-water swimming pool which can accommodate service craft and a submarine with a diving depth of up to 100 meters.
Interior designer Pascale Reymond of London-based Reymond Langton Design provided the styling for most of the Serene’s 4,500 square meters of interior space.
