Farstad to book loss on sale of PSV

JANUARY 15, 2016 — Norway’s Farstad Shipping ASA  today announced the sale of the PSV Far Scandia and says it will take a booked loss of around NOK 8 million (about $900,000) on the sale in the fourth quarter of 2015.

Built the Brattvaag shipyard in 1991, Far Scandia is an 81.9 m, 3,100 dwt UT 705 and was handed over to its new owner today.    

After the sale of Far Scandia, Farstad Shipping’s fleet consists of 60 vessels — 30 AHTS, 24 PSV and 6 subsea) and one subsea vessel under construction.
