ROYAL CARIBBEAN

“We’ve been closely monitoring Hurricane Dorian and multiple of our itineraries will be impacted,” said Royal Caribbean “Please know, our guests and crew safety is our top priority and being onboard a ship is one of the safest places to be during a storm. We can sail out to sea and navigate around inclement weather. Plus, our ships have the latest technology, satellites, communication equipment, along with a team of experts who closely monitor the weather.

“Along with our Chief Meteorologist, James Van Fleet, we’re reviewing data hourly to understand the impact to our ships in the affected areas. So far, we’ve made the following changes:

“We closed CocoCay on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, and plan to reopen it on Wednesday, September 4t 2019. Our CocoCay Team is made up of over 400 people, and the majority are locals. So, it’s important that they evacuate to care for their families and secure their homes, as soon as possible. We evaluated all options, and this is the best decision, as there is no room for error when it comes to the safety and security of our guests, crew, and employees. This is our top priority.”
