Crowley awarded $49.3 million mod to MSC contract

Crowley Government Services Inc., Jacksonville, Fla., has been awarded a $49,329,212 modification for the fixed-price portion of a previously awarded contract to fund the operation and maintenance of six maritime prepositioning force vessels. They include the five USNS 2nd Lt. John P. Bobo (T-AK 3008) class vessels and USNS GySgt. Fred W. Stockham (T-AK 3017).

The modification exercises the fourth of four one-year option periods of this contract. The vessels will continue to support Military Sealift Command’s worldwide prepositioning requirements. Work will be performed at sea worldwide and is expected to be completed by Sept. 30, 2020.

Navy Working Capital Funds in the amount of $49,329,212 are obligated for fiscal 2020, and will not expire at the end of the fiscal year.

The Navy’s Military Sealift Command, Norfolk, Virginia, is the contracting activity.
