Conrad Industries adds barges to backlog

2conradmicroMorgan City, La. headquartered shipbuilder Conrad Industries, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: CNRD.PK) today announced the signing of new contracts and sale of stock barges, bringing its estimated current backlog to approximately $92.8 million compared to $86.1 million at September 30, 2010, $41.0 million at June 30, 2010, and $38.3 million at December 31, 2009.  

New contracts include two 245 ft x 48 ft  x 12 ft LPG tank barges and two 222 ft  x 54 ft x 12 ft  LPG tank Barges both sets with approximately 16,000 gross barrel capacity designed for inland waterway operations.

New business added also includes a 250 ft x 72 ft x 12 ft  crane barge and six 120 ft  deck barges.  

Conrad Industries provides both ship repair and new construction services at its four shipyards located in southern Louisiana and Texas.
