China Development Bank to help Peter Döhle build box ships at Yangzijiang

China’s Yangzijiang Shipbuilding (Holdings) Limited says that its Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has entered  a Cooperation Framework Agreement with China Development Bank Corp. and Peter Döhle Schiffahrts-KG. In addition Yangzijiang  has entered into a letter of intent (LOI) with Peter Döhle to build eight
10,000 TEU container vessels.

The CFA envisages China Development Bank providing financial support to Peter Döhle amounting to $1 billion over the next five years to enable it to purchase ships from Jiangsu New Yangzi.
