C-Job Naval Architects, the largest independent ship design and engineering company in the Netherlands, is aiming to expand its business in the United States by opening a dedicated branch office in Houston this summer.

“At C-Job we believe clients should be closely involved in the entire ship design process as it benefits the design which is why we work in close cooperation with ship owners and shipyards,” says CEO Basjan Faber.

“Opening an office in Houston, Texas allows us to be in close proximity to our American clients and provide even more support to our already on-going American projects.”

The move follows increased activity in the U.S. by the firm such as attending the International Work Boat Show in New Orleans in 2018 andthe recent Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston. Additionally, C-Job entered into a strategic partnership with Seattle-based naval architecture firm Glosten which was announced in November of last year.

Basjan Faber adds “C-Job has seen an exponential growth over the past few years with exciting projects, doubling our staff and opening our first international office in Nikolayev, Ukraine. This is when we first shared our ambitions to pursue U.S. markets and it’s a sign of our dedication and commitment that we can now take this next step – opening a C-Job office in Houston, Texas, to further realize our American Dream.”

C-Job is known for its innovative ship design and engineering and has a strong track-record in several sectors including dredging, offshore (wind), ferries, yachts and workboats. the company has a dedicated R&D department that focuses on new ways to improve and innovative with both its designs and the way it creates them.
