Bollinger names Chris Remont EVP New Construction

Bollinger Shipyards has promoted Chris Remont to Executive Vice President of New Construction Programs. In this role, Remont will assume responsibility of overseeing all commercial and government new construction programs for the company.

“Chris’s proven leadership and extensive, diverse shipbuilding and manufacturing experience will guide our new construction group’s engineering, business development, bids/proposal, supply chain and program management teams to the next level,” said Bollinger Shipyards President and CEO Ben Bordelon. “Chris has been a key contributor to Bollinger’s success and I feel his new role combined with his continuous pursuit of excellence situates our Company well in meeting the ever changing industry demands and challenges in continuing our success in the future.”

Since joining Bollinger in 2014, Remont has held the positions of Director and Vice President of Program Management in addition serving as Vice President and General Manager of Bollinger Lockport’s new construction facility with responsibility for all facets of construction, including planning, scheduling, engineering, material control, quality, HSE, and production.

Remont has over 25 years of shipyard and manufacturing experience and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University and a Masters of Business Administration from Nicholls State University.
