Nicole Kach joins PNWA as government relations specialist

The Vancouver, Wash.-based Pacific Northwest Waterways Association (PNWA) reports that Nicole Kach has joined it as a government relations specialist. Her background includes work in public policy, legislative research, and strategic communications, with experience supporting federal advocacy and stakeholder engagement efforts.

Prior to joining PNWA, Kach served as a legislative assistant with the National Waterways Conference, where she tracked federal policy developments, maintained grant and appropriations updates, and translated complex water resources legislation into accessible content for stakeholders. She also worked as a communications & public policy fellow with Voices for National Service, developing advocacy materials, analyzing national service coverage, and supporting outreach tto policymakers.

Kach’s earlier experience includes service with AmeriCorps as a Pacific Region Team Leader. She also interned in the office of U.S. Senator Edward J. Markey (D.-Mass.), focusing on environmental and energy policy and supporting constituent services and legislative research.

Kach holds a bachelor of arts in political science degree with a concentration in international relations from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, where she graduated with honors and was actively involved in student leadership and public service initiatives.
