Zidell launches tank barge for Harley Marine

The Petro Mariner being launched into the Willamette River at Zidell Marine in Portland, OR

AUGUST 23, 2015—Zidell Marine, Portland, OR, recently launched the 5,000-grt double hull ocean tank barge Petro Mariner into the Willamette River for Harley Marine Services, Inc., Seattle, WA. The barge is now on its way to Seward, AK.

Part of the Olympic Tug & Barge fleet, the Petro Mariner has a length overall of 222 feet, beam of 64 feet 6 inches, depth of 23 feet 6 inches, and loadline draft of 16 feet 6 inches. Designed by Elliott Bay Design Group, Seattle, WA, the tank barge has a capacity of 28,450 bbl, with the ability to carry light products (Grade “A” and lower). It is fitted with a North Pacific MCF2075 deck crane, two Nabrico single drum anchor windlasses.
