Pirates kidnap Chouest captain and chief engineer

OCTOBER 24, 2013 — Reuters is reporting that pirates have attacked an OSV off the Nigerian coast and kidnapped the captain and chief engineer, both U.S. citizens.

Reuters cites U.K. based security firm AKE and other security sources as saying that the attack on the U.S.-flagged, C-Retriever, owned by U.S. marine transport group Edison Chouest Offshore, was attacked in the early hours of Wednesday.
