Total to hold New York Global Sulfur Cap Forum

On May 9, New York’s Intrepid Sea Air & Space Museum will be the site of one of a series of Global Sulfur Cap Forums being presented by Total at shipping centers worldwide.

The forums are being held help shipowners and operators gain a holistic overview of the fuel and lubricants options available to them as they prepare for IMO 2020.

The aim is to provide shipowners with clarity, expertise and practical advice and to provide a unique opportunity for all industry partners to listen and learn from each other through open discussion and debate.

Total’s Global Sulfur Cap Forum will provide expert guidance on technical issues as well as an overview of the long-term ability of Total to supply compliant fuels and lubricants around the world.

Total says that as both a supplier of products and services to shipowners and a major charterer, it understand the complexities of 2020 transition.

Total covers all routes to 2020 compliance through the supply of low and high sulfur fuels, zero sulfur LNG, as well as compatible lubricants in all key hubs. As a leading supplier of LNG, it is making major investments to extend its infrastructure to support the development of LNG as a marine fuel.

NEW YORK FORUM

The New York event aboard the Intrepid kicks off at 1.00 pm on May 9, with the conference and Q&A starting at 1.30 p.m, followed by a reception and museum tour from 3.30 -5.30 p.m.
