Gulf Copper names Ed Schendzelos general manager

Houston-headquartered Gulf Copper reports that it has promoted Ed Schendzelos to general manager, effective immediately.

Since joining the company in August 2022, says the company, Schendzelos has consistently taken on new challenges and delivered results at every level. He has progressed from scheduler to assistant project manager and, most recently, served as estimating & planning manager, where he led efforts to expand both the repair and new-construction business in the commercial and government sectors.

He has strong technical expertise as a marine engineer, holding a bachelor of science degree in marine engineering (magna cum laude) from Texas A&M University at Galveston, and is a former licensed U.S. Merchant Marine engineer officer. His experience managing complex marine repair and maintenance projects has contributed to reliable, on-time, and on-budget execution.
