This year’s FERRIES 2019 conference is putting a major emphasis on operator experience. Among the strong panel of speakers is Jed Dixon, Deputy Director of NCDOT’s Ferry Division. He will share lessons learned from the launch and inaugural season of the NCDOT’s first-ever pedestrian-only ferry service for the NC Ferry Division. He will focus on development of the system, implementation of new marketing techniques, and the use of technology to support the service and build community support on the state’s barrier islands.
