Marine Hospitality launches Fort Lauderdale Water Shuttle

Water Shuttle often welcomes passengers aboard its pink boats with a glass of pink lemonade

MAY 25, 2016 — Marine Hospitality Corporation of Fort Lauderdale, FL, has launched a new service, Water-Shuttle Fort Lauderdale, using a fleet of flamingo pink boats to offer passengers a unique way to travel along the Fort Lauderdale New River and Intracoastal Waterway.

Marine Hospitality, has been operating commercial boats and charter services for more than 25 years. In addition to the hop on, hop off Water Shuttle, Marine Hospitality owns Anticipation Yacht Charters, a fleet of five luxury yachts including the Liberty Belle and Riverfront dinner cruises, as well as the Anticipation IV and Anticipation V, both available for private weddings, corporate events and private parties.

“Tourism is booming, our year-round population is growing – it was the perfect time to offer folks a fun, car free transportation alternative with the best views in town,” says James Campbell, owner of Marine Hospitality.

“The hop on, hop off Water Shuttle provides reasonably priced transportation along Fort Lauderdale’s New River and Intracoastal Waterway,” says Mr. Campbell. “While cruising the City’s waterways, passengers are treated to some humor and history from US Coast Guard Certified boat captains and tour guides.”

Tickets can be purchased online, at the Water Shuttle Fort Lauderdale Kiosk at Riverwalk, 300 SW 1st Ave., Fort Lauderdale, or onboard the water shuttle at any of the stops. Tickets are $20 per day, per person, $18 for seniors and military personnel, $10 per child (under 12), and infants up to four years old are free.

The Water Shuttle operates (rain or shine) seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. With eight stops and one whistle stop the total route takes about 2.5 hours to complete, however passengers are able to hop on and hop off at any one of the designated stops. 

The Water Shuttle transports passengers to popular destinations along Las Olas Boulevard and Fort Lauderdale Beach, including Beach Place, Broward Center for the Performing Arts, the Historic Stranahan House Museum, and Bahia Mar.

“We want our pink boats to create a one-of-a-kind experience – we often greet our passengers with a complimentary glass of pink lemonade as they board,” said Mr. Campbell.
