Total taps two from Solstad Farstad for South Africa campaign

SEPTEMBER 12, 2018 — Skudeneshavn, Norway, headquartered Solstad Farstad ASA has been awarded a contract by Total E&P South Africa for one Large Anchor Handling Vessel (AHTS) Normand Ranger (2010, VS 491 Design) and one Platform Supply Vessel (PSV) Far Starling (2014, PSV 08 CD Design).

The contracts are to support Total E&P South Africa’s drilling campaign in Block 11B/12B for one well firm plus one well option. The contracts are expected to commence in fourth quarter 2018. The duration of the contracts are likely to be approx. 90 days for the firm well plus mobilization and demobilization time.

Both vessels are currently trading the North Sea Spot Market

Block 11B/12B is located in the Outeniqua Basin approximately 175 kilometers off the southern coast of South Africa. The block covers an area of approximately 18,734 square kilometers with water depths ranging from 200 meters in the north to 2,000 meters in the south.
