Samsung reports $1.2 billion drillship order

APRIL 9, 2014 — Yonhap News Agency reports that South Korea’s Samsung Heavy Industries Co. has clinched a 1.3 trillion won (US$1.2 billion) to build two drillships for what it identifies only as a customer in “Oceania.”
Samsung Heavy Industries plans to deliver the vessels by the end of June 2017, the company said in a regulatory filing.
