APRIL 14, 2015 — Leevac Shipyards, LLC recently delivered Ram Country, the second of two 270 ft platform supply vessels, to Aries Marine Corporation.

The vessel can carry nearly 260,000 gallons of fuel, 12,500 bbls of liquid mud, and 8,500 cubic feet of bulk mud.

Like its sister ship, Ram Nation, the Leevac designed diesel electric, DPS-2, FFI I PSV was constructed at Leevac Shipyard Jennings, LA, and later transported to Leevac Shipyard Lake Charles, LA, for outfitting, commissioning, and testing. Construction took approximately twenty-one months from the cutting of steel to delivery.

“I’m extremely proud how our team responded under intense pressure to deliver this complex vessel on time and on budget,” said Christian Vaccari, President and CEO of Leevac. “This effort speaks volumes to the dedication and pride from the Leevac team. I know our team will continue to thrive as we will deliver four vessels over the next eighteen months.”
