Höegh LNG takes delivery of FSRU

APRIL 22, 2014 — Höegh LNG Ltd has taken delivery of the PGN FSRU Lampung, the first of four newbuild 170,000 cu.m. FSRUs ordered from shipbuilder Hyundai Heavy Industries Ltd.

PGN FSRU Lampung is currently sailing to Lampung in Indonesia to commence 20 years of operation for the Lampung FSRU project. The project is on schedule and is expected to commence operation in June 2014.

Støhle, President and CEO of HLNG, stated: “We are delighted to have reached this important milestone together with HHI and Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGN) and we are pleased to be part of such an important element of Indonesia’s energy infrastructure. We now have three FSRUs in our fleet and with three more on order, we continue to grow our position as the leading provider of floating regasification services from newbuilt FSRUs.”

Classed by DNV GL, each of the Floating Storage and Regasification Units is 290 meters by 46 meters.
