Svitzer adds two new hires to its executive leadership team

Svitzer has named María Fernanda Souto as its new chief commercial officer
Global towage operator Svitzer has named María Fernanda Souto as its new chief commercial officer (CCO) and Anne Daugaard its new chief people officer, Both will be based at the company’s Copenhagen headquarters
Souto joins Svitzer after recently serving as vice president of the electric heating business unit at Danfoss. She has more than 20 years of senior strategy and transformation experience in the energy, maritime, aerospace, and digital industries.

Daugaard, who joined Svitzer in March, previously served as global head of people & organization at multinational engineering consultancy COWI. There she led large-scale organisational transformation initiatives delivering strong business impact across Scandinavia, the UK, India and North America.
Svitzer CEO, Kasper Friis Nilaus, welcomed the new hires and said they would strengthen Svitzer’s executive leadership team in driving the company’s customer-focused growth agenda at an exciting time for the company.
