STX Finland to get order for third Oasis class cruise ship?

OCTOBER 3, 2012 — Finnish newspaper Turun Sanomat reports today that STX Finland’s Turku Shipyard could be near to getting a contract to build a third Oasis-class cruise ship for Royal Caribbean. The order, which could be worth Euros 1 billion, hinges on whether Finnish government support is provided in the shape of export credit construction financing. The newspaper says it has learned that the matter will be discussed at a meeting tomorrow of the Finnish Cabinet Committee on Economic Policy.
