NOVEMBER 26, 2014 — Rolls-Royce will showcase several innovative MTU commercial marine products and systems at the upcoming International Workboat Show 2014, Dec. 3-5 at the Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.

Highlighting the MTU exhibit at booth No. 2702 will be the MTU 8V 4000 M54 Ironman commercial marine engine.

Certified for U.S. EPA Tier 3 emissions regulations without the use of exhaust after treatment, MTU Series 4000 commercial marine engines are available with 8, 12, or 16 cylinders for use in diesel-mechanical and diesel-electric propulsion systems, or for powering on-board gensets or for use in MTU hybrid propulsion systems.

Installed in diesel-mechanical systems, the Ironmen engines are able to cover power requirements from 750 to 2,680 bhp (560 to 2,000 kW), while engines for diesel-electric drives and marine gensets cover the 650 to 2,000 kW power output range.

The MTU display at the International Workboat Show will include the MTU 12V 4000 M34 marine generator set and MTU’s fully integrated Blue Vision New Generation ship automation system.

Also being promoted will be MTU ValueCare, a range of service and support offerings that include replacement parts and service solutions such as remote monitoring, maintenance contracts and remanufactured products, specifically designed for MTU engines and systems.
