New leadership at Maritime UK

Sarah Kenny

Maritime UK has appointed Sarah Kenny as its new Chair and Robin Mortimer as its new Vice Chair. Kenny, who is CEO of BMT Group was previously Vice Chair and replaces Harry Theochari, Global Head of Transport at Norton Rose Fulbright. Kenny’s successor as Vice Chair, Robin Mortimer, is CEO of the Port of London Authority.

Maritime UK is the umbrella body for the British maritime sector, bringing together the shipping, ports, services, engineering, and leisure marine industries.

Kenny and Mortimer started their terms as Chair and Vice Chair on January 1, 2021 and will be working with members to help steer the sector through the next four years following Britain’s departure from the European Union and as country’s maritime sector seeks to build back better from COVID-19, attract new investment and accelerates its work to meet its net zero commitments with the key COP26 summit being held in the U.K. in 2021.

Maritime UK’s members are: British Marine, British Ports Association, Cornwall Marine Network, CLIA UK & Ireland, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers, London International Shipping Week, Maritime London, Mersey Maritime, Nautilus International, Seafarers UK, Society of Maritime Industries, Solent LEP, South Coast Marine Cluster, The Baltic Exchange, Trinity House, UK Chamber of Shipping and the UK Major Ports Group.
