NOVEMBER 16, 2016 — The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) says criminal charges have been laid against Japan’s Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha (K-Line) in relation to alleged cartel conduct concerning the international shipping of cars, trucks, and buses to Australia between July 2009 and September 2012.

The ACCC says its investigation into other alleged cartel participants is continuing.

The charges against K-Line were filed in a Sydney court yesterday. ACCC says that “given this is a criminal matter currently before the court; the ACCC will not be providing further comment at this time.”
