HHI starts year by delivering VLOO to Nobu Su
Written byThe world’s largest shipbuilder, Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries, has kicked off the New Year by today delivering a 319,000 dwt VLOO (Very Large Ore Oil carrier) to Taiwan’s, TMT, whose owner and CEO is Mr. Nobu Su.
The ship delivered by HHI today is 340 m in length, 60 m in width, and 31 m in depth with a service speed of 15.8 knots, It is the first of 96 ships planned for delivery from HHI in 2011.
To enhance its status as the world’s No.1 shipbuilder, Hyundai Heavy says it continues to strengthen its competitive edge by developing eco-friendly and fuel-efficient ships based on its highly efficient shipbuilding systems.
