Harley Marine inks LNG-fueled bunker tanker MOU

NOVEMBER 29, 2016 — Harley Marine Services, Seattle, WA, says that its Singapore subsidiary, Harley Marine International Holdings Pte. Ltd., has signed an MOU with Pavilion Gas Pte. Ltd, Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), and Mitsui & Co., Ltd. (Mitsui) to build the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) dual-fueled bunker tanker for Singapore.

Designed by Dutch firm International Naval Engineering Consultants BV (Inec BV), the 100 m vessel will be classed by ABS and will be capable of carrying 6,600 t of Heavy Fuel Oil (HFO) and 600 t of Marine Gas Oil (MGO). It is expected to enter service in 201

The new 7,500 DWT dual-fueled vessel will be co-funded up to S$2 million (US$1.46 million) by the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) through its LNG Bunkering Pilot Program (LBPP) Grant.
