Feeder Lines BV selects GL fleet management software

Netherlands shipping company Feederlines B.V. is implementing GL Maritime Software’s fleet management software GL ShipManager and GL FleetAnalyzer on 48 of its ships in 2011.

Feederlines BV was founded as part of the Hartmann Group in 1995. Its fleet of more than 50 vessels consists of dry cargo vessels from 2,500 up to 9,000 dwt and container feeder vessels from 290 TEU up to 750 TEU. Further newbuildings are on order. Over the years, it has built a strong position in the short sea sector, especially in the transport of forest products.

Feederlines B.V. has chosen to use the technical management, procurement, compliance management and ship and voyage management systems onboard its vessels for better decision support, time and cost reductions, and higher efficiency and transparency across the entire fleet.

The software suite improves data and information management, and ensures, via data synchronization, that the same information is available onboard and onshore. The GL FleetAnalyzer combines extracted data from the operational systems to summarized fleet performing reports.
