Drydocks World handles 37 projects simultaneously

APRIL 14, 2015 — Drydocks World has beaten its previous 35 vessel record by handling 37 projects simultaneously in its Dubai shipyard.

The vessels involved included dredges, rigs, gas carriers, tankers and containerships  for clients such as Chevron Shipping, Technip, Saudi Aramco, Shelf Drilling, Saipem, National Drilling Company, Excelerate Energy and Aban Offshore.

Drydocks World says it has streamlined its operations to maximize its capacity while maintaining high quality standards. Since January this year, Drydocks World has increased the rate of vessel completion with 33% more vessels leaving the yard in March.

The shipyard had a workforce of approximately 9,000 dealing with the 37 projects and during this period drydocked eight vessels—all in Dock 2.
