MHI Group member Mitsubishi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. has won orders from Costa Crociere S.p.A. for repairs and maintenance work on its cruise ships Costa Atlantica, Costa Venezia and Costa Serena.

Costa Atlantica was dry-docked for periodic repair and maintenance work on February 20, while Costa Venezia and Costa Serena were moored at quays for regular maintenance on February 21 and 22 respectively.

“Prevention of COVID-19 virus infection has been the highest priority issue among Costa, Mitsubishi and the relevant Japanese authorities,” says MHI. “All the three vessels were legitimately quarantined by the local Quarantine Branch when entering Japan, and the repairs and maintenance works are carried out under the strict control of the infection prevention procedures of both Costa and Mitsubishi.”
