Concordia Maritime takes delivery of Suezmax from Samsung Heavy Industries
Written byJULY 2, 2012 — Concordia Maritime has taken delivery of the Suezmax crude oil tanker Stena Supreme from the Geoje, South Korea, shipyard of Samsung Heavy Industries in Geoje, South Korea.
With a length of 274 m and beam of 48 m, the 75,000 dwt Stena Maritime is the largest vessel in Concordia Maritime’s fleet and represents an investment of around SEK 500 million (about $17 million. The ship will be employed in the open market via the Stena Sonangol Suezmax Pool.
Concordia Maritime’s fleet consists of one crude oil tanker, ten P-MAX product tankers (65,000 dwt) and two Panamax tankers in which Concordia has a 50 percent share.
