BMT Designers & Planners has new President

AUGUST 24, 2015 — Kai Skvarla has been promoted to President of BMT Designers & Planners, Inc., Alexandria, VA.

Mr. Skvarla, who has been the naval architecture and marine engineering firm’s Vice President of Strategic Planning for the past five years, will now concentrate on developing new commercial markets for the firm to generate sustained growth. He will be responsible for leading the business in implementing strategy, direction and policy, ensuring the company continues to provide an extensive range of specialist services to its local and international defense customers.

Mr. Skvarla has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s of Science in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering as well as Aerospace Engineering, and is a Licensed Professional Engineer.-
