Bio-UV supplies skid mounted BWTS for French Navy vessels
Written by Nick BlenkeyOCTOBER 5, 2015 — French ballast water treatment system (BWTS) manufacturer Bio-UV has just supplied the Piriou Groups Concarneau shipyard with the first skid-mounted versions of its Bio-Sea 100 BWTS.
They will be installed in the three B2M (Bâtiment Multi-Mission) vessels it is building for the French Navy.
The 65 m oceangoing support vessels are designed to undertake maritime security operations in waters around French overseas territories. Their missions will include offshore surveillance and policing, logistic support, humanitarian assistance, and pollution control.
BIO-UV has been cooperating closely with a number of partners, including Piriou, to provide modular, reliable, innovative and energy saving BWT systems that are effective in all water qualities.
