Applied Weather Technology names Haydn Jones CEO

haydn jonesSEPTEMBER 18, 2013 — Sunnyvale, CA, headquartered Applied Weather Technology, Inc. (AWT), a leading provider of ship routing services and onboard voyage optimization systems has appointed Haydn Jones as Chief Executive Officer.

Before joining AWT in early 2013 as director of international operations, Mr. Jones was marketing director and business development manager for Fugro Satellite Positioning of Oslo. His management career also included strategic management positions with Nera Ltd., the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office, and ChartCo Ltd., an AWT business partner. Mr. Jones began his work in the marine industry following his graduation from the Britannia Royal Naval College in Dartmouth, U.K., working as a deck officer on a range of warships. While at sea he also taught navigation and bridge watchkeeping duties to officer cadets.
