Metairie, La., headquartered Maritime Partners LLC continues to add to its fleet.

The company specializes in providing financing solutions in the Jones Act market that include owning and chartering out vessels.

Its latest vessel, christened last month, is the M/V Raymond Butler, the latest in a series of 2,600 horsepower towboats on order at the John Bludworth Shipyard in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The specifications of this vessel are identical to those of the M/V Ouizee, another John Bludworth Shipyard boat that Maritime Partners christened in October (see earlier story).

Additionally, the company recently christened the M/V Miss Sally Dane at Intracoastal Iron Works, Bourg, La. The specs of this vessel are nearly identical to those the M/V Larry B. Whipple, another Intracoastal Iron Works boat that the company christened in April and which was its first newbuild acquisition (see earlier story). One difference between the two boats: the gears.

While the M/V Larry B. Whipple uses Twin Disc gears, the M/V Miss Sally Dane uses Reintjes WAF 572 gears with a 7.091:1 ratio.
