Programming from Military Sealift Command
Military Sealift Command (MSC) is a branch of the U.S. Navy, operating and maintaining a variety of ships providing logistics, special mission, fleet support, prepositioning and seabasing to the Department of Defense (DoD). 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of MSC, stood up in 1949 as the single managing agency for the DoD’s ocean transportation needs. MSC operates 130+ ships world-wide. MSC ships are built and maintained to commercial standards with ABS Class and USCG certifications. Presently, over 60 MSC vessels receive maintenance and repair at U.S. shipyards. MSC’s session objectives will be to provide information about our maintenance and repair requirements to interested ship repair companies.
