MAY 21, 2015—Long-time Bollinger Shipyards executive Scott J. Theriot has joined Conrad Industries, Inc., Morgan City, LA, as its Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

“We are excited to have Scott join our executive team,” says Johnny Conrad, President and Chief Executive Officer. “Scott has been in the shipyard business since 1976 in various positions spending the majority of his career with Bollinger Shipyards and was a member of Bollinger’s senior management team for a total of 25 years. Most recently, Scott was Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and has also held positions of Vice President & General Manager and Executive Vice President of New Construction.”

We reported on Theriot’s appointment as Bollinger’s Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing this past January.

Terry T. Frickey, Chief Operating Officer since February 2005, will assume the new position of Executive Vice President – Business and Product Development and will remain a member of the executive team.

“We are very grateful to Terry for his hard work and dedication and helping our company develop to our current level,” says Conrad. “Our shipyards are well positioned to continue to serve our customers with a diversified mix of products and services and Terry will focus on helping us continue to grow and develop our products and services. I believe Scott’s addition along with Terry’s new role will strengthen our management team’s ability to lead our hard working and industrious employees in serving our customers and taking advantage of future market opportunities.”

Frickey spoke earlier this month at Marine Log’s Tugs & Barges 2015 Conference & Expo as part of a panel on developing LNG Infrastructure. As you might recall from our earlier reports, Conrad has secured a contract to build the first LNG bunker barge in the U.S.
