BAE Systems Norfolk to perform extensive ship drydocking

The U.S. Navy’s Norfolk Ship Support Activity recently awarded a $51,958,270 modification to a previously awarded contract to BAE Systems Norfolk Ship Repair, Norfolk, VA, to perform an Extended Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability (EDSRA) for the guided missile destroyer USS Ramage (DDG 61).

An EDSRA includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities.  The Fiscal Year 2012 work will be performed in Norfolk, Va., and will be completed by November 2012.
