BAE San Diego awarded $53.4 million for DDG-59 SRA

JUNE 7, 2016 — BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair shipyard, San Diego, CA, is being awarded a not-to-exceed $53,434,742 undefinitized contract action to previously awarded cost-plus-award-fee/incentive-fee contract N00024-11-C-4408 for USS Russell (DDG-59) fiscal 2016 selected restricted availability (SRA).

An SRA includes the planning and execution of depot-level maintenance, alterations, and modifications that will update and improve the ship’s military and technical capabilities.

Work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by February 2017.Fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance (Navy) in the amount of $21,432,429; and fiscal 2016 other procurement (Navy) in the amount of $487,582 will be obligated at time of award.

Contract funds in the amount of $21,432,429 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, San Diego, California, is the contracting activity.
