Chesapeake delivers twelfth tug to Vane Brothers

Fort McHenry follows Fort Schuyler, pictured above, into service with Vane Brothers

JULY 21, 2016 — Chesapeake Shipbuilding Corp, Salisbury, MD, has delivered the Fort McHenry, the twelfth ocean going tugboat it has built for Vane Brothers of Baltimore, MD.

Chesapeake Shipbuilding has five further tugboats under construction for Vane Brothers.

The Fort McHenry measures 94 ft long with a 32 ft beam, and a 13 ft depth and is equipped with twin Caterpillar 3512 main engines producing a combined 3,000 horsepower, and a single drum hydraulic winch from JonRie of New Jersey.
