Captain Tama, currently the Deputy Sector Commander at Coast Guard Sector New York, will relieve Captain Michael H. Vessels calling on these ports and waterways transport over $479 billion in cargo and petroleum products annually. New York Harbor is also home to the Staten Island Ferry, and a number of other growing commuter and tourist passenger ferry services, as well as cruise ship passengers.
