Bollinger announces Martin Midstream contract

Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., a Bollinger Shipyards, Inc. company, has signed a contract for the design and new construction of a 55,000 bbl OPA'90 compliant tank barge, with Martin Midstream Partners, LP. Contract terms and conditions were not disclosed.

Bollinger executive VP of new construction, Chris Bollinger said: "Bollinger is pleased to announce the signing of our first new construction OPA'90 tank barge project with Martin. Martin has been a long time customer to Bollinger's repair and conversion group, and we are excited that Bollinger is Martin's shipyard of choice for this project."

The 55,000 bbl tank barge, M 6000, will be built at Bollinger Marine Fabricators, L.L.C., in Amelia, Louisiana. The M 6000 will be a clean oil barge classed and certified ABS + A1 Oil Tank Barge, Manned Ocean Services. It will measure 350-foot long, with a 70-foot beam and a depth of 25-feet. The barge will have ten cargo compartments and two separate pumping systems.

The barge will be outfitted with the Bludworth Cook Marine ATB Flexible Connection System.

Ed Grimm, senior VP of Martin Operating Partners said, "We are pleased to have signed this offshore unit with Bollinger as another step in our organic growth and fleet modernization process."
